On Saturday, 6 August, at Metamorphosis Greek Orthodox Church in Toronto, His Eminence Archbishop Irénée concelebrated the Divine Liturgy for the Feast of the Transfiguration with His Eminence Metropolitan Archbishop Sotirios of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Canada. Also concelebrating were Rev Fr Charambalos Elles, rector of Metamorphosis church whose patronal feast day it was, and V Rev Fr Geoffrey Ready (both pictured, below), as well as Rev Fr Bohdan Hladio (Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada) and V Rev Father Ignatios Delis.

​Beloved members of St Herman's Sobor in Edmonton lost their daughter, Fernanda, age 15, in a tragic car accident in Mexico on Monday July 25th.

Marco, Angelica, and their children Marco Jr and Fernanda emigrated to Canada several years ago, from Mexico City where they were parishioners of the La Ascensión del Señor Orthodox Cathedral. Fernanda attended Ross Sheppard High School in Edmonton, loved playing sports, and was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend to all. Please pray for Marco and Angelica as they grieve the loss of their sweet daughter, and Marco Jr, his sister.
