His Eminence Archbishop Irénée visited Sts Peter and Paul Sobor (Montréal) and led the patronal feast Services on July 11th (Vigil) and July 12th (Divine Liturgy).

Earlier, on Pascha celebrations, Fr. Gleb Melnyk had been rewarded by the Golden Cross for his 10-year service at the Throne of God. During the Divine Liturgy on July 12th Vladyka Irénée gave the Cross to Fr. Gleb.

His Eminence Archbishop Irénée made his annual archpastoral visit to St Gregory of Nyssa Orthodox Church in Kingston, Ontario, on Sunday May 26th, 2024. 

His visit celebrates the second anniversary of the purchase of our new property in June 2022. There were 78 people in attendance for the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Archpriest Nicolas Boldireff fell asleep in the Lord at age 78 after a long illness.  He had been a priest of the Orthodox Church in America, serving parishes in both the United States and Canada, for more than half a century.

For the first time in eight years, the archdiocesan council met for meetings in Manitoba, at St Nicholas of Narol (20 min north of Winnipeg). Between 9 and 10 April,  the council clergy and lay representatives of the archdiocese, with his Eminence Archbishop Irénée, presented and heard various reports about the financial and pastoral and administrative life of the Church, and had discussions about further strengthening and enhancing the life of the faithful and parishes in the archdiocese.
