Photos from the visit of His Eminence Archbishop Irénée to St Peter and St Paul Sobor, Montréal for the Vigil on the Eve of Palm Sunday, the Feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem.

His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon presided at the opening Rite of Preparation of Holy Chrism at Saint Tikhon’s Monastery.  His Eminence, Archbishop Michael of New York and New Jersey, also was in attendance, as was His Beatitude, retired Metropolitan Herman.

The servant of God, the Archpriest Orest Olekshy of Melville, whose many years in Christ’s vineyard in western Canada endeared him to many, fell asleep in the Lord after a brief illness on March 28, 2017.

His Eminence Archbishop Irénée awarded Barbara North, lay member from Alberta on the archdiocesan council, a gramota on the occasion of her 70th birthday marking her many years of support for St Herman of Alaska Sobor in Edmonton and the Archdiocese of Canada.

May God grant her many years!

The archdiocesan council is holding its spring meeting at Christ the Saviour Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Toronto on March 23-24.
