In October of this year, on the Thanksgiving weekend, parishioners of St Seraphim Orthodox Church in Richmond Hill, Ontario, made a pilgrimage to the town of Rawdon, Québec, where the relics of their heavenly patron Seraphim of Sarov repose in a church that bears his name.

The pilgrims were led by Father Nikolai Boldyrev, whose life is closely related to Rawdon. They also visited Archbishop Irénée, who, together with the archdiocesan staff, gave them a warm welcome.

A new chapel-monument in honour of the holy Royal Passion-Bearers was officially opened on Saturday in Jackson’s Point, Ontario, reports the site of the  Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia.

The new chapel is part of the parish of the Church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God in the “Beryozki” Russian conclave in Jackson’s Point, not far from Toronto.

All Saints of Alaska Parish in Victoria, BC celebrated its patronal feast on 24 October.

As part of the feast, a beautiful new icon of All Saints of Alaska, made by Fr Vladimir Lysak, was blessed during a wonderful vigil service.

Holy Annunciation / St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral in Ottawa is holding a fall fundraising dinner on Sunday, October 14th at 5:30 pm at the St Elias Centre. The evening will include a buffet dinner, live music and silent auction. All proceeds will go to support an accessibility project.

Bring some friends along to enjoy a night out and support this important project. Tickets are $80 per person. You will receive a charitable tax receipt for a portion of the ticket cost.

His Eminence, Archbishop Irénée visited St Benoît de Nursie Church in Montréal. Concelebrating with Vladyka were Fr Dragos and Archimandrite Georges.

After Liturgy a special meeting was held to exchange ideas for relocation of the parish from their current place.

The chapter of Narcotics Anonymous that meets at the Monastery of All Saints of North America in Dewdney, BC held its first autumn gathering on Thursday 13 September, with much thanks to Sasha and Davy For the event.

Vladika Lazar has been involved with NA for some time but because of his long hospitalization had not been able to be present for any meetings. He was pleased to finally be able to attend at least the one at the monastery.

On Sunday 9 September, the parishioners of Holy Trinity Church in Edmonton bid farewell to their beloved rector, Archimandrite Philip, who is taking up a new post at Christ the Saviour Cathedral in Toronto.

After the Divine Liturgy many parishioners took the opportunity to thank Fr Philip for his long service and love for the parish.
