This month the Winnipeg Orthodox Clergy Association celebrated two services in our parish communities.
For the Sunday of the Cross, the Mission Station of Christ the Saviour in Winkler hosted the first non-Winnipeg based WOCA service, with many clergy and faithful from Orthodox Churches in Winnipeg making the two-hour road trip down south. It was a blessed service that was followed by a meal in the home of one of the mission's members.
On Sunday March 18, 2018, His Eminence Archbishop Irénée celebrated Divine Liturgy for the Fourth Sunday of Lent at All Saints of Alaska Church in Victoria.
Concelebrating with Vladyka were the Reverend Fathers Kyle Parrot and Evgueny. Also serving were Protodeacon Jesse Isaac and Deacon Nicolas Svetlovsky.
At the invitation of the Orthodox Clergy Fellowship of the Greater Toronto Area, His Eminence Archbishop Irénée presided at the annual Toronto Pan-Orthodox Vespers for the Feast of Orthodoxy.
The service was held on Sunday 25 February in the chapel of Trinity College at the University of Toronto, hosted by the Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College, a graduate theological school offering MTS and MDiv degrees to prepare clergy and lay people for service in the Orthodox Church in Canada.
