Visit of His Grace Bishop Irénée to the Church of St. Mark the Evangelist in Yorkton, SK

May 20, 2013 to May 21, 2013

On May 20, 2013, St. Mark the Evangelist Orthodox Church in Yorkton, SK was delighted to host the visit of His Grace, Bishop Irénée, who attended Vespers followed by a light meal of coffee and dainties afterward. There was also a question and answer session with many interesting questions from the children ranging from “How many books have you read?” to “What is your favourite book in the Bible?” The adults very much appreciated having the visit of Vladyka Irénée and questioned him about saints, the Holy Fire and how to witness as Orthodox Christians to the world around.

On May 21, Bishop Irénée concelebrated the Divine Liturgy along with the Parish Rector, Archpriest Rodion Luciuk and Protodeacon Nazari Polataiko, Archdiocesan Secretary. Later that day, His Grace presided over a meeting of the Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nunavut Deanery which was attended by clergy of the deanery and representatives of the parishes.
