Service at Georgian Orthodox Community in Toronto

April 6, 2013

On Saturday April 6, 2013, His Grace Bishop IRENEE, presided over the Divine Liturgy at the Georgian Orthodox Church of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in Toronto, ON. Mitred Archpriest Paul Zakaraia concelebrated with His Grace and in his homily, expressed the parishes gratitude to the Archdiocese of Canada (OCA) for help and assistance in establishing Georgian Orthodox communities in Canada. During the service, the small but beautiful choir, sung numerous ancient Georgian melodies that date back to 12th-14th centuries.

After the Divine Liturgy the parish invited Bishop IRENEE and Protodeacon Nazari to join them for a traditional memorial meal.
