Secretary of the Archdiocese accompanies SVOTS Chancellor on official trip to Kyiv Theological Seminary and Academy
On the 15th of June, 2013, His Beatitude Volodymyr, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, received the Archpriest Chad Hatfield, the Chancellor of Saint Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary (SVOTS) in his residence on the territory of the Dormition Monastery of the Kyiv Caves in Kyiv, Ukraine. The Secretary of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Olexander took part in this meeting, along with the Secretary of the Archdiocese of Canada, Protodeacon Nazari Polataiko, who helped to organize this visit. Protodeacon Nazari was accompanying Father Chad on this trip.
During the meeting Father Chad informed His Beatitude, Metropolitan Volodymyr about the agreement that has now been signed between SVOTS and The Kyiv Academy. The Metropolitan emphasized how important this new initiative is, and how until recent times such cooperation was impossible.
