New Website for Holy Trinity Cathedral, Winnipeg

Since 2016/17 Holy Trinity Sobor in Winnipeg has been the home for both a Slavic and English speaking community, hosting two expressions of the singular unity of Orthodoxy - with both services in Slavoinc (on the old calendar) and English (on the new calendar).  Initially, a single bilingual (Russian/English) website served as the point of contact for both communities. Yet the growing need to communicate more directly the presence of the English speaking community at the Sobor, nessestated the creation of a stand alone website that reflected both the liturgical richness of the English community, and the miracle of this arrangement (two communities in one parish).

With the direction of his Eminence Archbishop Irénée, www.orthodoxwinnipeg.ca was launched this past month, featuring a brief history of English community at Holy Trinity, its serving clergy (Archpriest Roman Pavlov, and the Priest Matthew Beynon), and a updated calendar page.

Truly this is a blessing that seeks to connect those searching for Orthodox in English in Winnipeg, with an English community; that with the Slavoinic community, manifests the vision of Orthodoxy in Canada as set forth by St. Tikhon who concentrated their temple in 1904!
