Letter from Metropolitan Tikhon to Archbishop Irénée

Your Eminence, Archbishop Irénée,

Dear brother in Christ and concelebrant of the holy mysteries,

I offer you my fraternal greetings for the feast of the Dormition of the purest and ever-virgin Mother of God. May this day fill you with joy and give you the grace to continue bearing the belief of the episcopal ministry through the intercessions of the Theotokos.

It was a great joy to be with Your Eminence and the clergy and the delegates of the Archdiocesan Assembly in Edmonton. I am pleased that I also had the opportunity to visit the various parishes of the "Holy Land" and receive a taste of Orthodoxy on the great plains of Alberta.

I thank you for your prayers, for your fraternal support in my ministry and for your years of ministry in the Orthodox Church in America.
