Holy Ascension at the Hermitage of the Annunciation

It was with great joy that the monks of the Hermitage of the Annunciation received the visit of His Eminence Archbishop Irénée for the feast of the Holy Ascension. He was accompanied by Archpriest Nazari Polataiko and Deacon Nicholas Svetlovsky.

Vladyka served the Vigil and the Divine Liturgy of the feast day assisted by Father Nazari and Father Deacon Svetlovsky.

During the visit the Hermitage received icons of Christ and the Mother of God masterfully written by Archpriest Nazari. His Eminence blessed the new icons.

The Archbishop offered kind words of encouragement and direction to the growing monastic community.
