Annual Pilgrimage at the Hermitage of the Annunciation

Join Atlantic Canada’s annual pilgrimage to the Hermitage of the Annunciation on Friday Sept 18, and Saturday, Sept 19 in honour of the Feast of the Birth of the Mother of God. 

The Hermitage of the Annunciation is placed under the protection of the Mother of God. The pilgrimage is the annual opportunity for the monks to share in her many blessings with the larger Church.

The pilgrimage begins with the Vigil at 5pm on Friday, and continues with Divine Liturgy at 9am on Saturday morning.  A number of pilgrims will be camping overnight at a local campground.  There will also be a fundraiser lunch on Saturday, where the monastery is hoping to raise enough money for the roof of the ongoing expansion to monastery dwelling.
