On January 17th His Eminence Archbishop Irénée ordained Pavel Slavinskyi to the subdiaconate and Deacon Alexander Treiger to the priesthood during the Divine Liturgy at St. Vladimir’s, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

A few days later, on January 20th, His Eminence Archbishop Irénée tonsured Igumen Roman (Bonnel) as Schema monk Luke during Divine Liturgy at the Holy Annunciation Hermitage, Nova Scotia.

Konstantin Kosachev, Chairman of the Upper Chamber of the Russian State Duma (Parliament) International Affairs Committee, and Ambassador of Russian Federation to Canada, Alexander Darchiev paid visit to All Saints of North America Monastery, Dewdney, BC.

They laid flowers at the memorial dedicated to the heroes of World War II from the former USSR.

The Feast of St. Nicholas of Myra, December 6, 2015, marked a joyous occasion in the life of the Holy Apostles Mission Station in Chilliwack, BC, as the first Baptism in the life of the community took place.

The 100th anniversary of the Cathedral was celebrated on Sunday, October 25, 2015. The history of the parish started in 1915 by Russian immigrants who had put together enough money to purchase a small house for celebrating services. The parish had struggled to get by for its first 15 years but by the devotion of our founding parishioners, they were able to purchase a temple in 1930. The parish started to thrive at that point and established a choir, sisterhood, an annual Christmas bazaar and the church school.
