In Memoriam: Matushka Anisia Boldireff
Matushka Anisia Boldireff peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on September 1, 2021, at Hill House Hospice, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada, after a 3 year battle with cancer.
Anisia was born on February 3, 1946 in New Westminster, British Columbia, the fourth child of Anton and Olga Rudkiewich. From the age of 14, Anisia sang in the church choir with her beautiful Alto voice. She graduated with a Psychiatric Nursing Degree and worked in New Westminster at Riverview Hospital. At 21 she married now Archpriest Nicolas Boldireff and was his backbone and support in Montreal, Los Angeles, Toronto, Tarzana and back to Los Angeles, finally retiring back in Toronto. She sang, directed and read at many services with her famous solo at Christmas, “God is With Us” as her specialty.
She is survived by her husband, Archpriest Nicolas Boldireff, her sister Nancy (Bob) and her children, Nathalie (late Paul), Tamara (Nicholas), Marina and Michael and seven Grandchildren that she adored, Alexander, Nicholas, Christopher, Sasha, Ekaterina, Gregory and Isabelle.
The Panikhida and Funeral services will be held at Saint Seraphim Orthodox Church, Richmond Hill.
