Celebration of the Feast of the Prophet Elijah with the blessing of all wheeled vehicles

In honour of the feast of the prophet Elijah and his ascent in the heavenly chariot, St. Herman's parish in Langley BC held their annual blessing of all wheeled vehicles. Besides motorized vehicles with two and four wheels, there were bicycles, scooters, wheelchairs, strollers, even skateboards and roller skates...
Even the youngest parishioners wanted their special wheels blessed!
Festal "Wagon Wheels" were then enjoyed by the children of the parish.
"Through the prayers of the Holy Prophet Elijah, may God and His angels protect and preserve all in their travels this summer, and especially keep the children safe at play!"
