Archdiocesan Assembly Nominates Bishop Irénée to the Vacant Archiepiscopal See of Ottawa and Canada

At the Archdiocesan Assembly on Thursday, October 2, 2014, in Gatineau, Québec, following the resolution of the Archdiocesan Council, acting as the episcopal search comittee, the Assembly voted in favor of presenting His Grace Irénée, Bishop of Québec City and Administrator of the Archdiocese of Canada, as the candidate to the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church in America for canonical election to the vacant Archiepiscopal See of Ottawa and Canada.
