Annunciation Cathedral in Ottawa to Hold Fundraising Dinner

October 14, 2018

Holy Annunciation / St Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral in Ottawa is holding a fall fundraising dinner on Sunday, October 14th at 5:30 pm at the St Elias Centre. The evening will include a buffet dinner, live music and silent auction. All proceeds will go to support an accessibility project.

Bring some friends along to enjoy a night out and support this important project. Tickets are $80 per person. You will receive a charitable tax receipt for a portion of the ticket cost.

You can buy your tickets online through Eventbrite, or with cash or cheque at the Cathedral downstairs after Liturgy on September 23rd and 30th.

The funds being raised will be to install an elevator in the church building to improve its accessibility. The elevator will be added on to our entrance at 15 Lebreton Street North. This will allow our current and future community members with disabilities to more easily and safely participate in the spiritual and community life of our parish, ensure that accessibility is not a barrier to welcoming visitors or potential new members, and increase our ability to partner with organizations serving the local community.

The total cost of the project is $244,000. We have already raised $35,000 and have applied for government grants to cover part of the cost - but we need your support to raise the additional funds.
