2020 Assembly Information Now Available

July 21, 2020 to July 24, 2020

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: Glory to Jesus Christ!

At the request of His Eminence, Archbishop Irénée and on behalf of the 2020 Canadian Archdiocesan Assembly Planning Committee, I would like to invite all of you to join us in Montreal, Quebec, during the week of July 21, 2020 for our triennial Canadian Assembly and Clergy Synaxis. The Synaxis and Assembly will be held in at Manoir D’Youville, Chateauguay, Quebec.

The theme for our Assembly is “Looking Forward to Eternity to Faith, Family and Friends” and celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Reception of the Tomos of Autocephaly and canonization of St Herman of Alaska.

The light of your Holy Life and great deed, guides those who follow the Orthodox Way.
Together we lift high the Holy Cross you planted firmly in America. Let all behold and Glorify Jesus Christ, singing His Holy Resurrection.

This week will consist of:

  1. Good teaching
  2. Renewed friendships
  3. Joyful worship (“The joy of the Lord is my strength”)
  4. Clergy wives' workshop
  5. Thursday evening banquet
  6. Parish stories of encouragement and inspiration
  7. Optional for Friday afternoon (if enough people are interested): visit to the Sign of the Theotokos Church, St Peter & St Paul Cathedral, and Greek Orthodox Monastery (Virgin Mary the Consolatory) in Brownsburg
