Âgé de 64 ans, l’archimandrite Alexander [Pihach] s’est subitement endormi dans le Seigneur au cours de la nuit du 7 octobre, alors qu’il se trouvait en visite au presbytère de l’église Sobor Christ-Sauveur de Toronto où il était l’invité de l’archiprêtre Vasyl et de Matouchka Oksana Kolega.

Archimandrite Alexander [Pihach], 64, unexpectedly fell asleep in the Lord on the night of October 7, 2016 while visiting the rectory of Christ the Saviour Sobor in Toronto, where he was the guest of Archpriest Vasyl and Matushka Oksana Kolega.

After more than a millennium since the last Ecumenical Council, and 50 years of planning, 2016 was marked by an historic ecclesial event with the gathering in council of the Primates of most of the local autocephalous (self-governed) Orthodox Churches in Chania, Crete.
