Holy Myrrhbearers Orthodox Mission in Toronto celebrated its first anniversary and patronal feast day on Sunday 30 April, the Third Sunday of Pascha.

His Eminence Archbishop Irénée presided at the hierarchical Divine Liturgy and ordained Chris Voulgaris to the holy diaconate. Concelebrating were Holy Myrrhbearers' rector, the Very Rev Geoffrey Ready, and Deacon Nicolas Svetlovksy.

Deux paroisses ont récemment été témoins et ont célébré l'ordination d'Evgeniy Prokhin - d'abord au diaconat à l'église Sobor Saints-Pierre-et-Paul de Montréal, le 6 mai (en la fête de l'autel secondaire nord et celle de saint Georges), puis à la prêtrise le 8 mai (en la fête du saint Apôtre Marc) à l'église Saint-Séraphin-de-Sarov de Rawdon. Two parishes recently witnessed and celebrated the ordination of Evgeniy Prokhin – first to the Diaconate at Sts. Peter & Paul Sobor, Montreal, on May 6 (the feast of the North side altar and the day of St. George), and then to the Holy Priesthood on May 8 (the day of the holy Apostle Mark) at St. Serafim of Sarov, Rawdon.
