On July 16, 2011, during his trip to Winnipeg for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the St. Nicholas parish, His Grace Bishop Irenee spent time also with members of the Theotokos of the Life-Giving Spring Mission, answering questions and discussing the life of the Mission.
At this gathering Bishop Irénée presented Elissa Hay with a Gramota in recognition of her faithful service of the Mission as its choir director and chanter from its inception in 2006, and during the long period when it continued without a priest. Priest Anthony Estabrooks, pictured with His Grace and Elissa, was ordained by Bishop Irenee at the end of January, 2010, and blessed to serve a lively and committed group of parishioners, with beautiful liturgical music in place, thanks to Elissa.
