His Eminence, Archbishop Irénée celebrated the Feast of Dormition on August 28th at Dormition of the Mother of God Moldavian Church in Montreal. Concelebrating with His Eminence were Fr. Alexandru Gheras, rector, Fr. Alexander Janowski, Fr. Gregory Nimijean, Deacon Horia Roscanu, and Fr. Liviu Alexandrescu.

Although the Christ the Saviour in Winkler has been serving at various locations for the last few months (as they are without a space of their own) their desire to serve the Lord has not been quenched. This desire of theirs was manifested in the celebration of the festal Vespers for their Altar feast (Icon not made by hands). A local Protestant church was secured to serve at, and clergy and faithful from other Orthodox churches joined them for the evening of thanksgiving.

The faithful from Saint-Benoît-de-Nursie parish in Montréal attended Divine Liturgy outdoors in Rawdon on Saturday 5 August with Fr Elias Fonseca. Following the Liturgy, Vladyka Irénée and Deacon Denis gave a tour of the Rawdon cemetery.

On 1 August, His Eminence, Archbishop Irénée, led the celebration of the patronal feast of St Seraphim of Sarov Church in Rawdon.

Saturday, July 29, 2023 to Sunday, July 30, 2023

His Eminence Archbishop Irénée visited two Vancouver parishes on Saturday 29 July and Sunday 30 July. He served Great Vespers at Holy Resurrection Sobor on Saturday evening, then the next morning, he presided at the Divine Liturgy at St John of Shanghai Orthodox Church.

On Saturday July 29, 2023 the Most Reverend Irénée, Archbishop of Ottawa and the Archdiocese of Canada lead the Hierarchical Liturgy at the new building Of St Herman Church, Langley, BC. The Archbishop was greeted by the clergy and parishioners. Before and during the Hierarchical Liturgy there were: Entrance Prayers, Vesting of the Hierarch, Lesser Blessing of the Waters, Tonsuring of Reader Ted Matson. Sermon by vladyka Irenee. The Choir directed by Magdalen Farley lead the music. Archbishop Irenée awarded the church rector Fr.

The Archdiocese of Canada held its 2023 Assembly from 17 to 21 July at the Manoir d'Youville, in Châteauguay, Québec.

His Eminence, Archbishop Irénée, was joined by His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, and His Grace, Bishop Alexei of Alaska.

Clergy and faithful from across Canada joined together in the daily services, presentations, and meetings throughout the assembly.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon presided at the Canadian Archdiocesan Assembly, which took place on July 18-21, 2023, in Châteauguay, QC.

On Thursday, July 20, His Beatitude addressed the assembly and gave his remarks, speaking on the theme of the assembly: "The person, the family, the Church—Living as the Body of Christ." He encouraged those assembled to consider our various vocations as individuals, communities, dioceses, and the Orthodox Church in America as a whole.
