The Orthodox School of Theology at Trinity College, Toronto, offering the only ATS-accredited Orthodox MTS and MDiv degrees in Canada, recently hosted a successful conference entitled "Healing Chalcedon: The quest for restored communion between the Eastern Orthodox and the Oriental Orthodox Churches 25 years after the agreed statements."

During their annual fall session in Detroit, MI October 19-23, 2015, the members of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America voted unanimously to depose the retired Archbishop Seraphim from the status and all sacred functions of the episcopacy, remove him from the ranks of the clergy, and return him to the status of a lay monk.

The letter of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon to the Archdiocese of Canada reads as follows.

We have been praying for, and looking for, a piece of property on which to establish a permanent home for the St. Nikolai of Zhitsa Orthodox Mission in Whitehorse, Yukon. A lot has come available, Lot 21 in the Raven’s Ridge development in Whitehorse (http://ravensridge.ca/) for an asking price of $149,900 that appears to have a good potential for a Church property.

Christ the Saviour Patriarchal Cathedral here was the site of the celebration marking the 1000th anniversary of the repose of Saint Vladimir of Kyiv, Equal to the Apostles, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.

At the invitation of His Holiness, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, representatives of the world’s Local Orthodox Churches concelebrated at the Divine Liturgy and participated in a variety of events marking the occasion.
