Photos from Archbishop Irénée's Visit to Holy Trinity Cathedral in Winnipeg
Holy Trinity Cathedral in Winnipeg had the recent blessing of two visits from their Archbishop, His Eminence Irénée.
Vladyka served Hierarchical Liturgies for the Feast of the Dormition of the Mother of God (New Calendar) on August 15th, and for the Forefeast of the Transfiguration of the Lord (Old Calendar) on August 18th.
Holy Trinity presently offers regular services according to each calendar - English services on the new (revised Julian), and Slavonic/English services on the old.
Serving with His Eminence for both Liturgies were Priest Roman Pavlov (parish rector) and Priest Matthew Beynon.
The Deacon Yuri Hladio (prior his ordination to the Holy Priesthood two days later at St Nicholas, Narol) served with them for the Dormition Feast - at which Vladyka awarded Father Matthew the right to wear the Nabedrennik.
Concelebrating with them on Sunday were Archdiocesan Chancellor Archpriest Phillip Erikson, and Protodeacon Jesse Isaac (St Herman of Alaska, Edmonton).
It is always a great joy for the community to have their beloved Archbishop with them. For his visit to come in the midst of two such Great Feasts only added increase to the joy!
