The heart of our Quiet Garden is the recently-restored beautiful Orthodox Church dedicated to the Holy Resurrection.

The Church is a part of the Archdiocese of Canada, Orthodox Church in America, with an annual Pilgrimage related to the earlier presence of a Monastery nearby. Weddings, services from visiting priests and now Reader Services by our 2007 summer student take place in it.

Restoration of the Church began in 2003, with a new foundation, a return to its original 1926 look, and electrical upgrading. The Church was fully lifted off its original location and placed on its new cement base.

The restoration was a huge local community effort, combining the support of the “Prairie Churches Project” of Heritage Manitoba, Sifton Historical Society, the local Holy Resurrection parish, and the Archdiocese of Canada Orthodox Church in America (OCA).
