OrthodoxTours offers for 2012
Our trip is a pilgrimage to the Holy Sites and Sacred Shrines of the Anglo-Saxon England, it is a journey back in time to the era of Venerable Bede. Spiritual and artistic journey through frescoed churches and monasteries of Bulgaria, Macedonia and Serbia. This 15-day trip to Russia is designed for people interested in Russian culture - art, architecture and literature. Tour will be co-led by a Professor of Slavic Languages and by an Orthodox Priest. Our trip is intended as an in-depth introduction to the history of Byzantine Sacred Art on the two Mediterranean Islands of Cyprus and Crete. Participants of this special pilgrimage will be able to worship at the numerous holy sites of the Ancient Church in the West. Also, pilgrims will see the splendid remains of the Byzantine Civilization in Italy and a number of major ruins of the glorious Ancient Rome.
Dear fathers, brothers and sisters in Christ, dear friends! Greetings to you in this New Year! I pray and hope that the celebration of the Lord's Feasts were blessed and joyous. I pray and hope that this New Year will be filled with blessings, peace, joy and success in every good deed. With this brief message, I'd like to remind you of our ministry and offer to your attention some of the pilgrimages and tours that we planned for this year. Some of them are repeat offers of the successful trips that we have offered in the past, others are newly developed programs. All of them are very special and unique, as them all are thoroughly researched and hand tailored in order to provide you with the first rate experience. We expanded our list of destinations and in particular want to draw your attention to the Sacred Art/Church/Monastery and historical tours of the Balkans and Mediterranean. As there are not too many trips to Macedonia/Serbia or Cyprus/Crete, we gladly invite you to come along and to enjoy these superb, but too often over sighted destinations. Another special offer for this year is an Art/Architecture and Literature trip to Russia. It will take you to many of the places that are unique and lay outside the general tourist routes. Pilgrimages to England, Italy and Holy Land (Israel and Jordan) are perhaps are of no need of introduction as all of them are superb and filled with different edifying and inspiring places.
