His Grace, Bishop Irénée visited
Holy Transfiguration Hermitage in Gibsons, BC

On Saturday, November 5, 2011, His Grace Bishop Irénée, Administrator of the Archdiocese of Canada, and Protodeacon Nazari Polataiko, Secretary of the Archdiocese of Canada, visited the monks of Holy Transfiguration Hermitage in Gibsons, BC.

This hermitage is the continuation of Holy Transfiguation Hermitage founded originally in the province of Quebec in 1977 by Igumen Gregory (Papazian). The Hermitage consists of three monks, Igumen Gregory, the Hieromonk Samuel (Panchuk) and the Reader-monk Moses (Schneider).

Directions:
From Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal, take the ferry to Langdale on the Sunshine Coast, and proceed to the right on the Port Mellon Highway for 2.5 km. Turn right again onto Twin Creeks Road. Turn right again shortly after onto Williamson's Landing Road.

Schedule of Services:
The Hermitage is closed to visitors year-round. However, visitors may come to Great Vespers at 5:00 PM on Saturdays and the eves of Feast Days, and the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM on Sundays and Feast Days. Please call the office to confirm.
