On Monday, June 13, the Day of the Holy Spirit, His Grace, Bishop Irénée celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Dickie Bush, AB. Concelebrating with His Grace were the Archimandrite Alexander (Pihach) (Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Canada, Dean of Alberta, and Rector of the Sobor of St. Herman of Alaska in Edmonton), the Archpriest Nikolai Nikolaev (Rector of Ss. Peter and Paul Church), Archpriest Gerasim Power (Rector of Holy Trinity Parish, Smoky Lake, and other OCA parishes in the region), Igumen Philip (Speranza) (Rector of Holy Trinity Church in Edmonton, AB), the Priest Vincent Lehr (Second Priest of the Sobor of St. Herman of Alaska in Edmonton, AB and Priest in charge of All Saints Orthodox Church in Meadow Lake, SK), and the Protodeacon Nazari Polataiko.

Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church is situated on the north bank of the North Saskatchewan River, not far from Smoky Lake. Built by Bukovinian immigrants, this temple has served a large flock of believers, including those of smaller nearby temples, and has become an official Alberta Historical Site. The building was constructed from logs, without blueprints, by local farmers. The temple can be seen from a great distance.
Services are in Slavonic and English, and the parish follows the Old Calendar.
