Vicar Bishop Elect Irinee is currently on a personal pilgrimage
to the holy places throughout Russia

Archimandrite Irinee (Rochon) is the candidate elected by the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America as Bishop of Quebec City and Auxiliary to His Eminence, Archbishop SERAPHIM of Ottawa and Canada, at the Spring 2009 meeting.

On Monday, May 18, 2009, Archimandrite Irinee visited St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church – the Moscow Representation of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA), and had a meeting with OCA Representative to the Moscow Patriarchate, Archimandrite Zacchaeus. During the course of their meeting, the two Archimandrites discussed a wide range of topics concerning the contemporary life of the Orthodox Church in America as well as the current situation of Orthodoxy in Canada.

Father Irinee accepted the invitation to concelebrate the festal Vigil and Divine Liturgy for the feast of Ascension at St. Catherine the Great Martyr Church (on May 28).
