Memory Eternal to His Eminence, Metropolitan Laurus

Metropolitan Laurus, Archbishop of New York and Eastern America, Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, March 16, 2008.

According to God's will he has played the prominent role in the recent restoration of the canonical unity of the Russian Orthodox Church after almost a century of tragic separation due to the consequences of the Revolution and the Civil war in Russia.
