‘But when Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Rise, take the Child and his Mother, and go to the land of Israel…”’ (Mt. 2:19-20) 

On Sunday, October 16, the Sts Peter and Paul Sobor (Montréal, QC) welcomed «The Sign» (Kursk Root / Kurskaya-Korennaya) Icon of the Mother of God.

The visit was blessed by Archpriest George Lagodich, serving at St Nicholas Cathedral (ROCOR, Montréal). The Icon stayed there from October 15th till October 16th.

The Clergy of Sts Peter and Paul Sobor and the faithful served an Akathist in front of the Icon and venerated it.

On her way the Icon was accompanied by Igumen Nikolai Perekrestov (St Nicholas Cathedral).
